| Jackals Stay Hot, Beat Mammoths, 3-2 | The Jacksonville Jackals earned a close win over the Montreal Mammoths, thanks in part to Raul Rodriguez. The Jacksonville right-hander, who is rated as the 21st best prospect by BNN, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Rodriguez got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Scott Lohmann locked down his 5th save.
Jacksonville took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Camden Hodge hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Jackals.
"We're playing hard," said Rodriguez, "and we're playing to win."
Jacksonville, now 8-0, is playing great baseball to start the year.
