John Leblanc was a vital contributor to the 10-3 Boston victory over Detroit. The Kings right fielder was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Kings raised their record to 31-33.

Danny Diaz had a big 2-run double for the Kings in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Justin Young, who led the IL in strikeouts with 190 in 2043, and swatted a double to right. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kings ahead, 5-2.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Boston manager David Fields. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
