| Mammoths Lose to Jackals in Walk-Off | Starting pitcher Marcos de Diego pitched well enough to help the Jacksonville Jackals beat the Montreal Mammoths, 6-3. The Jackals, now 9-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Jared Davis played the role of hero for Jacksonville. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 3-run home run off Aaron Brown to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," de Diego said.
