| Miami Earns 4-3 Win | The 4-3 Miami win over Arlington was due in large part to Ben Shuman. The Makos shortstop went 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Carlos Sanchez, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. After today's action, Miami sits at 43-34; Arlington slips to 38-39.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Shuman hit a fastball from Tony Alba for a run-scoring single. The Makos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Shuman. "And not try to do too much."
