| Orange Rally to Win | Orlando Orange starter Bob Figueroa pitched his team past the Chicago Hawks, 8-1. Orlando leads the Independent South by 5½ games.
The Hawks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Orange going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old left fielder David Sanchez came to the plate. Sanchez hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 slider from Chicago hurler Aldo Ginori. It was Sanchez's 15th double of the year.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Sanchez, "one at-bat at a time."
