| Makos Earn 3-2 Home Win | The Miami Makos picked up a win at Honolulu Stadium, dropping the Detroit Vipers, 3-2. Malachi Brock, who led the IL in wins with 15 in 2042, was the difference-maker. At 45-35, Miami is in second place in the Independent South.
The Makos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jim Charron. For the game, Charron was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season gave Miami a 3-2 lead.
"It never gets old," said Brock. "Winning, that is."
