| Sunrays Upend Robbers, 5-3 | Tampa Bay Sunrays starter Jeff Bolser found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Toronto Robbers. The winning pitcher was Bolser, now 6-6. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The victory puts Tampa Bay at 31-51.
Tampa Bay used the timely hitting of Carlos Gonzales to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sunrays ahead, 5-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Jeff's a gamer," said Tampa Bay manager David Fields. "Glad he's on our side."
