Kings Rally Late to Nip Empire
The New York Empire could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Manny Tellado into a win. Instead, the Boston Kings prevailed, 4-3. Tellado threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Boston is now 39-44, while New York is 54-29.

Neal Johnson came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Johnson. "It sure beats the alternative."
