| Robbers Snatch Late-Game, 5-4 Win | The Toronto Robbers took Boston pitcher Nate Smith's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Condors Park. The final score had Toronto getting past the Kings, 5-4. Smith went 8 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. The Independent North Division-leading Robbers are 51-35.
Toronto used a clutch hit from Anton Molina to get the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Robbers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Molina. | | | | |
