| Hawks Earn Clutch Win, 4-3 | The Chicago Hawks faced a tough opponent in Miami pitcher Malachi Brock, but still scratched out a win at Honolulu Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Brock went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Jarred Mudd closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 14th save of the year. The Hawks win now puts them at 30-55.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Danny Alvarado came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Miami pitcher Walt Dudash, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 4-3.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Alvarado.
