| Arsenal 6-4 Losers to New York | The New York Empire picked up a win at Ballpark of Arlington, dropping the Arlington Arsenal, 6-4. Danny Garcia, who is tied for 10th in the IL in wins with 9, was the difference-maker. The winner was Garcia. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Rob Stern. New York is now 56-31, Arlington 44-43.
The Empire got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tim Murray. For the game, Murray went 1 for 5 with a home run. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season gave New York a 1-0 lead.
