The New York Empire picked up a win at Mounties Park, taking down the Toronto Robbers, 11-0. Starting pitcher Manny Lopez was a big reason why. With the win over Toronto, the Empire improved to 57-31.

Lopez gave New York a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Lopez.
