| Sunrays Win, 3-2, at Miami | Brandon Diggs pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Miami Makos, despite Diggs's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Tampa Bay Sunrays at Honolulu Stadium. Jeff Bolser picked up the win, lifting his record to 7-7 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 3 in 6.2 innings, while yielding 2 runs. The Sunrays sport a record of 34-58.
Aaron Lennartz had a big bases-clearing double for the Sunrays in the top of the sixth inning. With Tampa Bay trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Brandon Diggs, who is tied for 9th in the IL in quality starts with 12, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sunrays ahead, 3-2.
Lennartz told a Tampa Bay Herald reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
