Puente Leads Makos to 6-5 Win Over Kings
The Miami Makos did just enough to sneak past the Boston Kings, 6-5, at Honolulu Stadium. Miami right fielder Jose Puente, in particular, had a standout performance. Reliever Walt Dudash picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Ron Martin, who finished 5th in the UL in innings pitched with 152.2 in 2033, took the loss. Carlos Sanchez closed out the game, earning his 15th save.

Jason Prioleau, who finished 5th in the IL in triples with 5 last year, came through for Miami with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. The left fielder was a perfect 3 for 3 in the game, including 1 home run and 2 singles. He scored 1 run and collected 2 RBI.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Miami manager David Fields.

Miami has now won 4 games in a row.
