The Miami Makos locked up a win at Honolulu Stadium, knocking off the Toronto Robbers, 7-4. On the mound for Miami was right-hander Brandon Diggs. He played a major role in the triumph. Fidel Medina nailed down his 2nd save. Miami now has a record of 58-44 with the win.

The Makos got a big at-bat from first baseman John Ainsworth. For the game, Ainsworth went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Miami a 5-3 lead.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Ainsworth.
