| Hawks Drop Sunrays, 5-2 | 2045 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Tampa Bay Sunrays.
Chicago turned a fine outing from starter Art Davis into a victory over the Tampa Bay Sunrays at Sunrays Field. The final score was 5-2. Davis yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 5-8. Jarred Mudd earned the save for Chicago, his 16th.
The Hawks got a big at-bat from shortstop Danny Alvarado. For the game, Alvarado was 2-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 20th double of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
