| Vipers Grind Out 2-1 Win | Fans watched the Detroit Vipers and the Orlando Orange fight to the finish.
Bobby Araujo, the first overall pick in the 2044 draft, never let the Orange get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Vipers to a win, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Araujo, now 1-0. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Matt Kelley picked up his 6th save of the season.
Luis Bojorquez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2039 draft, aided the Detroit cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Araujo.
Detroit has won 3 straight, while Orlando has lost 3 in a row.
