| Orange Beat Vipers, 8-3 | The Orlando Orange beat the Detroit Vipers by a score of 8-3. Orlando catcher Jesus Oceguera deserved the lion's share of the credit. Oceguera went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Orange. Mike Masters got the win, improving to 10-5. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The Orange now have a record of 66-42.
Orlando center fielder Carlos Lopez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 117th hit of the season and put the Orange ahead, 4-1.
