Hawks, Carrell Deal Makos 4-1 Setback
The Chicago Hawks locked up a win at Hawks Park, knocking off the Miami Makos, 4-1. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Chris Carrell. He played a major role in the triumph. Marshall Davies closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 22nd save of the year. The Hawks now have a record of 60-48 with the win over Miami.

Carrell was effective for Chicago, seldom allowing the Makos to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 89 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Miami to just 1 run on 3 hits.

"That was a really good outing by Chris," said Chicago manager David Fields.
