| Peaches Earn 6-2 Home Win | The Atlanta Peaches topped the Seattle Pilots, 6-2, at Peachers Park. Atlanta catcher Jose Perez was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Atlanta is off to a hot start at 2-1.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Jorge Zuniga didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Seattle trailing 4-2, Zuniga retired Jamie Smock to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Zuniga, with a wink.
