In a low-scoring contest between the San Francisco Pioneers and the Hollywood Hitters, Mike Ludwigs was the X factor. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. San Francisco reliever Scott Kelly picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Armando Fonseca took the loss. The loss puts Hollywood at 0-2.

Edgardo Valverde was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pioneers third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was rockin'," said Valverde.
