| Atlanta Loses, 4-3, to San Diego in 10 | San Diego starter Pat Caniglia pitched well against the Atlanta Peaches at Luchadors Field. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. San Diego reliever Bobby Samu picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mitchell Wilson was saddled with the loss. San Diego sits at 3-1 in the early going.
The Luchadors got a clutch hit from third baseman Dennis Anderson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Luchadors.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Caniglia. "I just want to win ballgames."
