| Twisters Edge Marauders , 2-1 | Raul Lopez, who led the UL in wins with 16 last year, had a strong outing for the Oklahoma City Twisters against the Mexico City Marauders at Marauders Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Chad Strickland earned the save for Oklahoma City, his 1st of the year. The win puts Oklahoma City at 3-1.
Justin Porter had a big solo home run for the Twisters in the top of the third inning. With Oklahoma City leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from Gabe Carrera, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2037 draft, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twisters ahead, 2-0.
"I'm happy we won," said Lopez. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
