| Makos Upend Robbers, 2-1 | Crowds lined up early in front of Mounties Park, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2045 Federal Baseball League season. On the mound was Juan Magana for the visiting Miami Makos and Josh Chira for the hometown Toronto Robbers. In a spirited contest, the Makos pulled out the win, defeating the Robbers by the score of 2-1. Especially impressive was Juan Magana. Magana yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-0.
Miami used the hitting of Latrell Whitlock to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Makos on top, 2-0. For the game, Whitlock had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
