The San Diego Luchadors withstood a fine game by Houston left fielder Jamie Dunning at Globe Life Field, to upend the Rangers, 7-5. Dunning was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Kirk Stabile. He tossed 72 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. The win puts San Diego at 8-2.

Vic Murillo went 1-5 for San Diego. The 33-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring single off Jake Braun. It was his 7th hit of the season.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Murillo told the San Diego Daily.
