| Rangers Drop Marauders , 3-2 | The Houston Rangers got a marvelous performance from pitcher T.J. Woods. The right-hander kept the Mexico City offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Houston victory at Marauders Field. Mexico City, with the loss, is still a hardy 9-3.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Dale Ings? The 27-year old third baseman Ings stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Houston up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 3, including 1 double and 1 single.
In postgame comments to the Houston Chronicle, Ings said, "Our goal is to stack wins."
