| Hitters Wiggle Past Mexico City, 5-4 | Mexico City got a terrific performance from pitcher Harvey Sharp, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hollywood Hitters. Hollywood won the Hitters Park contest, 5-4. Sharp threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Hollywood reliever Armando Fonseca got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Tom MacNevin was tagged with the loss. David Fernandez, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2039 draft, earned the save for Hollywood.
Hollywood took a 5-4 lead on Joel Owens's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Owens hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Mexico City pitcher Tom MacNevin visibly frustrated.
"We ground out the win," said Owens. "That's all that matters."
Losses have been few and far between for the Marauders , who are now 11-4.
