Behind the hitting of Mark Hodges, the Oklahoma City Twisters stopped the Seattle Pilots, 11-10, in 10 innings. Hodges belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Twisters. It was the 9th win in 14 games this year for the defending champion Twisters, who are picking up where they left off.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Bruce Trinidad came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Seattle pitcher Adam Krawczuk, he hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oklahoma City on top, 5-4.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Twisters manager David Fields. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
