Denver got a strong outing from Eric Keadle as the Queens defeated the Atlanta Peaches, 5-2, at Queens Field. Keadle yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 12. His record improves to 1-2. Sergio Aguilar earned the save for Denver.

The Queens got a big at-bat from center fielder Joe McMicken. For the game, McMicken went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Denver a 1-0 lead.

"Our offense was purring," said Denver manager David Fields. "Like a well-oiled machine."
