Antonio Becerra was a major contributor to the 8-4 Dallas win over Denver. The Jets second baseman was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Lance Daniello, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Queens to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. With the win, Dallas lifts its record to 6-8.

The Queens had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Jets going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the two-time Gold Glove Award winner Lorenzo Sandoval came to the plate. Sandoval hit a run-scoring double on a 1-2 slider from Denver hurler Matt Philips. It was Sandoval's 4th double of the year.
