| Jackals 5, Vipers 3 | Jacksonville right-hander Marcos de Diego pitched his team to victory over the Detroit Vipers at Jackals Stadium. The final score was 5-3. Scott Lohmann finished to wrap up his 7th save. Jacksonville, now 13-1, has played well in the early going.
Miguel Loayza, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2035 draft, helped out the Jacksonville cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4.
"Marcos was throwing free and easy," said Jacksonville manager David Fields.
