| Pilots Get Clutch Win Versus Denver | Denver got a terrific performance from pitcher Josh Neal, but it wasn't enough to beat the Seattle Pilots. Seattle won the Queens Field contest, 4-3. Neal threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Adam Krawczuk closed it out for Seattle, earning his 5th save. With the win, Seattle boosts its record to 7-9.
Ryan Martinez came through with a big-time hit for Seattle. The designated hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We ground out the win," said Martinez. "That's all that matters." | | | | |
