Phoenix used a clutch at-bat from Saulo Masya to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Firebirds ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Masya told the Phoenix Herald.
