| Bodamer Powers Luchadors Offense | The San Diego Luchadors beat the Seattle Pilots, 7-2, at Pilots Park. The win was due in part to second baseman Mike Bodamer, who went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. Javier Torres got the win, improving to 3-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Jean Mary nailed down his 2nd save.
Bodamer had a key at-bat for San Diego in the top of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave San Diego an early 2-0 lead.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Bodamer told the San Diego Daily.
The current losing streak for Seattle has reached 4 games. | | | | |
