Denver Queens starter Matt Philips hurled his team past the Hollywood Hitters, 7-2. Denver reliever Marcos Aldaco snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Roy Ogorek shouldered the loss. With the win, Denver pushed its record to 12-12.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when second baseman Dale Ings, who led the UL in triples with 5 in 2040, hit a single. The Queens went on to win.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ings.
