Marauders Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Peaches, 6-4
The inspired effort of Atlanta shortstop Cesar Villa was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-4, to the Mexico City Marauders . Villa was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mexico City reliever Tom MacNevin picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Ryuya Gushiken absorbed the loss. The win hiked the Mexico City record to 16-6.

Vance Maurer delivered a big hit for Mexico City. The right fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marauders ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Maurer.
