| Johnson Good, But Not Good Enough, in 8-5 Loss | The Seattle Pilots had to overcome a big game from Denver first baseman Josh Johnson to leave Pilots Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-5. Johnson was 4-4 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Alex Renteria snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Brad Foran suffered the loss. Denver, at 6-19, has lost 7 straight.
Jesus Luna had a big 2-run home run for the Pilots in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle trailing 5-4 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Brad Foran and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Pilots on top, 6-5.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Luna.
