| Queens Win, 4-1, at Phoenix | Denver catcher Brad Cantor contributed significantly to his team's 4-1 win over the Phoenix Firebirds. Cantor, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Queens organization, went 4 for 5 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Queens. Sergio Aguilar closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. At 13-12, the Queens claim second place in the United West.
Bill Alder, who finished 2nd in the UL in hits with 131 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Alder contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Denver up, 3-0.
"Feels good to get the job done," Cantor said after the game. | | | | |
