| Philadelphia Earns 3-2 Win | The Philadelphia Fury, despite a fine performance by Miami pitcher Justin Brussow, grabbed a 3-2 win at Honolulu Stadium. Brussow allowed 1 run over 6.2 innings. The win brings the Fury to 6-9, an inauspicious start for a team that made the playoffs last season.
Philadelphia used a timely hit from Christian Cruz to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fury ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
Cruz called it "a solid win."
