The Oklahoma City Twisters earned a win at Jets Field, stopping the Dallas Jets, 2-1. Starting pitcher Gabriel Fregoso played a big role in his team's success. The winning pitcher was Fregoso, now 3-3. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7.
Carlos Acencio, who is the top prospect in the Twisters organization, had a direct impact on the outcome. Acencio contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Oklahoma City up, 2-0.
"Tough loss," said Dallas manager David Fields. "But we'll rebound from it."
Oklahoma City is now 14-16. Dallas is 17-13.
