Hitters Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Miguel Cruz, the San Diego Luchadors defeated the Hollywood Hitters, 5-3. Cruz was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Luchadors. The save was credited to Bobby Samu, his 14th. The win elevated the Luchadors to 22-6.

Josh Gannon went 1 for 4 for San Diego. The 34-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off T.J. Moorman. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said San Diego manager David Fields.
