| Twisters Spank Peaches, 11-2 | Tony Quere impressed in the 11-2 Oklahoma City win over Atlanta. Quere, who finished 4th in the UL in runs with 65 last year, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Raul Lopez, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Peaches to 2 runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 3. The losing streak for Atlanta has now reached 5 games.
With Oklahoma City leading 7-2 in the top of the eighth, Quere came up to bat against Atlanta pitcher Jordan Nunez. Quere hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Twisters on top, 11-2.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Oklahoma City skipper David Fields.
