Queens Rally to Win
Spirited fans greeted the San Diego Luchadors for their clash with the Denver Queens.

The San Diego Luchadors got a whale of a performance from pitcher Javier Torres, but the Denver Queens still prevailed, 5-4, in 10 innings. Torres threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. David LaFlamme was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Jeremy Bares.

Denver used a timely hit from Danny Alonzo to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Queens ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We had the eye of a tiger tonight," said winning manager David Fields.

The triumph makes Denver 8-24.
