| Firebirds Drop Close One Late | The Mexico City Marauders wiggled past the Phoenix Firebirds, 5-4, at Marauders Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Mexico City pitcher Harvey Sharp. Robert Medina notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. With the win, Mexico City upped its record to 21-10.
The Marauders got a clutch hit from left fielder Felipe Tapia. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Marauders .
"That was high adrenalin and it was fun," Tapia said.
