Monter 3-for-3 in Phoenix Win
The Phoenix Firebirds defeated the San Diego Luchadors, 8-4, at Firebirds Ballpark. Phoenix catcher Danny Monter had a superb performance. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Phoenix bumps their record to 15-18 with the win.

Monter contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Phoenix in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Monter took a sinker from Javier Torres and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Firebirds to leap in front, 5-4.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Monter.
