| Purcell Swings Hitters to 6-4 Win | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Hollywood Hitters and Dallas Jets.
The Hollywood Hitters beat the Dallas Jets by a score of 6-4. Hollywood designated hitter Duane Purcell deserved the lion's share of the credit. Purcell was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Hitters. The save went to Josh Ford, number 5 for him.
With Hollywood leading 5-4 in the top of the eighth, Purcell hit a run-scoring single off Dallas hurler Andy Urso. It was the 35th hit of the season for Purcell and put his team ahead, 6-4.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Purcell.
The win for the Hitters raised their record to 24-7.
