| Davis Hammers 2 Homers in 8-6 Win | Mexico City beat Seattle in a rain-soaked ballgame.
A 4-RBI performance from Nate Davis, who is on pace for 83 RBI this season, helped the Mexico City Marauders beat the Seattle Pilots, 8-6. Tom MacNevin, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.
Mexico City used the timely hitting of Mathieu Fournier to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Marauders on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out aggressive," said Marauders manager David Fields. "We came out swinging the bats."
The losing streak for Seattle has now reached 5 games. | | | | |
