| Queens Roast Pioneers, 11-1 | Though the conditions were not ideal, the Denver Queens and San Francisco Pioneers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.
The San Francisco Pioneers had their hands full with Denver Queens starter Mike White, who frustrated San Francisco hitters while leading Denver to a comfortable, 11-1 win. Denver has run its win streak to 8 straight.
Denver used a clutch at-bat from Jorge Castillo to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Queens ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Mike was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Denver manager David Fields. | | | | |
