| Houston 6-1 Victors at Queens Field | Houston used a superb performance from starting pitcher Sean Mikkelsen to down the Denver Queens, 6-1. In 6.1 innings, Mikkelsen surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The Rangers now own a record of 20-16.
It could have been a different outcome for Houston, had it not been for Dale Ings, the 27-year old third baseman . Ings contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Houston up, 2-1.
"Sean had swing-and-miss stuff," said Houston manager David Fields.
