| Arsenal Grind Out 2-0 Win | Pitcher Chase Ciotola was rock solid in helping the Arlington Arsenal beat the New York Empire, 2-0. Tony Alba recorded the save for Arlington, his 3rd of the season. The Empire drop to 5-8, as their fitful start to the 2042 campaign continues.
Arlington used the timely hitting of Matt McFarlane to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Arsenal on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Ciotola told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win." | | | | |
