San Diego starter Javier Torres kept the Houston offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his fastball in leading the Luchadors to a 5-1 win. By defeating Houston, the third-place Luchadors improved to 18-20.

In the top of the first, 21-year old third baseman Dennis Anderson hit a 2-run home run. The 4th home run of the season for the San Diego third baseman put the Luchadors on top, 2-0.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Luchadors manager David Fields.
