| Smith, Twisters March to 7-4 Victory | The Oklahoma City Twisters beat the Mexico City Marauders , 7-4, at Wranglers Ballpark. The Twisters got a fine performance from right fielder Tim Smith, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Oklahoma City reliever Bobby Trejo picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tom MacNevin absorbed the loss. After today's action, Oklahoma City sits at 18-20, while Mexico City falls to 27-11.
Oklahoma City took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Carlos Acencio hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Twisters in front, 5-4.
In postgame comments to the Oklahoma City Daily, Acencio said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
