| Pioneers Lose Late, 5-2 | The San Diego Luchadors picked up a win at Luchadors Field, dropping the San Francisco Pioneers, 5-2. Juan Rosario, who leads the UL in strikeouts with 85, was the difference-maker. Bobby Samu was credited with the save for San Diego, his 17th of the season. San Diego has an impressive 30-11 record.
Josh Gannon dealt the Pioneers a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and San Diego leading 1-0, Gannon, who finished 4th in the UL in on-base percentage with .393 in 2039, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Gannon.
